Strawberry Cake
Quick and Easy moist vanilla based cake loaded with fresh strawberries.
Ingredients
- 2½ cup Plain Flour
- ½ cup Chopped Strawberries
- 1 cup Halved Strawberries
- 1 cup Plain Yoghurt
- ½ cup Oil
- 1 cup Caster Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- Icing Sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F (160°C fan). Prepare a baking pan with baking paper.
- Add sugar, eggs, yoghurt and oil in a mixing bowl and mix well with a whisk.
- Add flour and baking powder and mix untill just combined.
- Pour half the mixture in baking pan and scatter diced strawberries. Pour the remaining batter and arrange halved strawberries faced down.
- Bake for 40 minutes or untill skewer comes out clean.
- Allow it to cool before turning it on the wire rack. Once completely cooled down dust it with icing sugar
