Spiced Chickpea Burgers
A Quick and easy vegetarian Burger made with Chickpeas, carrots and spices.

- 500 g Chickpeas Boiled or canned
- 1 cup grated Carrot
- 1 Cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Egg
- 1 Small Onion
- 1 cup Coriander/Cilantro chopped
- 1 Green Chilli Optional
- 1½ tsp Salt
- 1½ tsp Red Chilli Powder/Paprika
- ½ tsp Blackpepper powder
- ½ tsp Garlic powder
- ½ tsp Cumin Powder
- 3 tbsp oil for frying
- 6 Burger Buns
Toppings
- Mix Salad Leaves
- Sliced Tomatoe
- Slices Onions
- Jalapenos
- Mayonnaise
- Chilli Sauce
In a food processor combine chickpeas and all the ingredients. Process until mixture is formed but it should be still grainy.
Form 6 patties, make sure there are no cracks.
Fry them in oil, turning them once done on one side.
Toast the burgers slightly in the same pan.
Assemble them in burger with choice of your toppings and sauces.
