Apple Crumble

Sweet apple filling with a hint of cinnamon and citrus and a perfectly crunchy, nutty, crumble topping. This apple crumble is an absolute family favourite.

Ingredients
  

Apple Filling

  • 6 - 7 Medium Pink Lady Apples See Notes
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Plain Flour
  • ¼ cup Caster Sugar

Crumble Toppings

  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 125 g Melted Butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C/ 350 F
  • Peel and core the apples. Cut them into small cubes.
  • Put them in a bowl and add flour, lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon. Toss it and spread it in a baking dish or pie dish.
  • In a bowl add all the ingredients for crumble. Mix until combined and forms a crumb.
  • Spread the crumble over apples and bake it in the oven for around 30 mins or until its golden brown.
  • Serve it warm with ice cream or custard.
