This mug cake requires six ingredients only – plain flour, cocoa powder, caster sugar, baking powder, oil and milk. You can add chocolate chips too ! There is no egg included in this recipe so its great for vegetarians. To make it vegan friendly use milk alternative of your choice Soy milk, almond milk or oat milk.
HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
Add dry ingredients and mix them, next pour milk and oil. Give its a good mix with spoon or whisk. Make sure it mixes well and flour is not sitting at the bottom. Put it in the microwave, depending on your microwave this cake will take 70- 90 seconds.
The only tip to make this mug cake perfect is to measure ingredients precisely. All the dry ingredients should be leveled spoons.

- 3 tbsp Plain Flour
- 2 tbsp Caster Sugar
- 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 1 tbsp Oil
- ¼ tsp Baking Powder

- In a microwave safe cup/mug add flour, cocoa powder, caster sugar and baking powder. Mix it and then add oil and milk. Mix well with spoon or whisk.
- Put it in microwave for 60 sec and then another 30 seconds. Depending on your microwave it will take 70-90 seconds.
- Dust with icing sugar once its cool.
